E-Top is experienced to design and manufacture different boiler control solutions. The typical thermostat application for boilers includes the wired thermostats ( via 2 hardwire wall cables to the wall boiler) , wireless thermostat (using the 433/868Mhz point to point Radio) , WiFi boiler thermostat, and Opentherm boiler thermostat).
Either by using the AAA*2 battery or USB type C, the wired boiler thermostats are giving direct volt-free control to the gas or electric boilers. The users are allowed to the call the room heating by adjusting the temperature set point to reach the satisfied heating conditions. Expect the basic set temp control, the users are able to program the heating schedules, open window detect, eco heating and so on.
The wireless technology could have many, however, the most common solutions is the radio 433Mhz/868Mhz (E-Top wireless protocol). It could allow the Max 120 meters of transmission of the transmitter and receiver in the open air, which is a good solution for the retrofit installation. Normally, the transmitter uses the battery power sully to easily standing on the desk or fit onto surface wall. The receiver is easily to control ON/OFF to the boiler via the instant wireless signal from the room.
What if the user wants to control their in-home heating remotely? E-top has been dedicated to look at the smart solution by the self-owned cloud (now has stopped service) or a 3rd party’s platform like the Tuya Smart (smart life). The app can offer all the functions which thermostat includes locally, and it has well supported the IOS/Andriod with upgrading service. The customers are welcome to do the OEM customization based on their actual needing of App interface and logos. As majority of the WiFi chip are placed in the 230V receiver’s hardware, there’s not a battery autonomy concern for the Wifi products.
In addition, the Matter Thread based smart hardware is coming soon, which will soon allow the interface with a Thread Google or Apple gateway.
Now that more and more users are not satisfied with the heating only data, a communication based thermostat is requested to support some users who has more professional control demands. With this background, Opentherm protocol(which is a Europe protocol association) is made to meet corresponding demands.
